LOVE DOES

What an amazing sunrise!  Bless you, Father.

Psalm 103:8 "The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in LOVE."  I love that God LOVES!

I don't think we have ever had a better first day of school.  My lovely freshmen...you guys are dynamite.  As I sit here this morning at my desk, I am thinking of nothing but you.  May you have another great day and may your high school journey be filled with joy, mystery, and most of all LOVE.

LOVE DOES - get used to hearing it around here.  And jump right into doing it...

I love you!

Welcome!

I LOVE reading.  Seriously, I read as much as a dad of a three-year-old and 21month old can. Typically, this means reading in bed from 11 pm - 1 am.  Honestly, I am surprised I have energy in the mornings.  I just eat books up.  I love watching authors create magic.  I love lots of things really:  SPORTS, FISHING, TACKLE TIME, CHRISTMAS, ENCOURAGEMENT NOTES, SNOW DAYS, CHIPS, AWKWARD MOMENTS, LONG DINNERS, SLIP N SLIDES, SUNSETS...

This year I do not want to assign you reading.  My hope is that I can provide opportunities for you to engage with reading on your own.  I want you to LOVE what you read - that is my goal.  We will read a few things in class together, but much of your reading will be CHOICE reading (you get to choose what you want to read).

More details to come...and just so you know...I HATED READING WHEN I WAS A FRESHMAN.  Ask me about it..... :)
